Spring is Here ..Time for Garage Sales..
With nice weather here in Ct , I have been stopping by many Garage Sales ( Tag Sales here in CT).You would be surprised on what you can find . Here are a few Tips on having your own Garage Sale:
You may be surprised that what you have no use for and in fact think is junk, someone else is thrilled with. The following list will give you some ideas of what you
can sell:
appliances - large and small
books - paperback and hard cover
costume jewelery
sports equipment
plants
linens / bedding
children's toys
flatware - silver and stainless steel
baby equipment
records / tapes
shoes / boots
patio equipment
garden tools
kitchen utensils / gadgets
china / bric-a-brac
clothing, especially children's
pictures / frames
Now that you've decided when your sale will be held and just what you're going to sell, the following tips will help make your day a success:
Put a price tag on every item. Mark your prices clearly. This makes it easier for a customer to browse. Masking tape is excellent for price tags.
Make sure your merchandise is very clean. Goods that are polished and in good condition will sell faster than old dusty items.
Be ready to deal with customers promptly at opening time.
Be prepared to give your customers change by having coins and small bills on hand.
Save your bags for a few weeks before your sale, so you can offer your customers some wrapping for their purchases.
Be prepared to haggle with customers.
After your sale, if you should have any leftovers, donate them to a local charity. Or you can always save the leftovers for your next sale

All Natural Cleaning Products
We automatically buy products without looking at the labels to see if they could or could not harm the environment.
One way of going green is choosing an organic household cleaner for your everyday use. The best organic all purpose cleaner should not be made of toxic and harsh chemicals nor have bleach in it. It should be safe for your family and pets and should be effective in getting rid of grime, scum, grunge in your house.
Choosing all natural products shows our children that in our own little way we can help protect the Environment. It is also helpful especially for those who are allergic to chemicals found in ordinary cleaners. Read labels and look for any symbol that the product you are going to buy has no toxic or harsh chemicals that can be considered pollutants. There is a company I really like that makes all natural cleaning products as well as Baby Products & Personal Care Products. Their a small company based in CT. To purchase products go to : Simple Pure Clean

Storage Solutions
Living rooms : Remove clutter from bookcases and shelving by using colored containers, baskets, or boxes to contain DVD's, CD's, books, magazines and candles. Use an ottoman that opens to enclose pillows, blankets, photo albums or books.
Bathrooms : Use containers or small bowls to organize items on the counter or within the medicine cabinet. Shelving that fits above the toilet is useful to hold towels and other toiletries.
The bedroom: use the space underneath the bed with shallow totes (for shoes, out of season clothing, extra blankets, sheets, wrapping paper, craft supplies, or magazines)
The kitchen: An old canister can be used to hold utensils. Small baskets can hold kitchen towels & Cookbooks. Use a corkboard on a wall ,with push pins to hold receipts, coupons, a calender . Shoe organizers can be used on the back of a pantry door to hold soup packets, spices etc.
Use your imagination!
Entry: hooks can be used to hold coats or buckets with mittens, hats, and scarves or summer items, umbrellas, or bags. Using boxes or buckets at the top and bottom of stairs allows for quick clean-up and easy to return lost or misplaced items.

Choosing Flowers for Mom
Who doesn't enjoy receiving flowers, Seeing how Mothers Day is tomorrow here are a few tips:
Roses are, perhaps, the obvious choice, since most women really do love them. When choosing roses, try selecting ones of different colors. They will all tell her you love her, so have fun when making your choice. An arrangement that includes carnations also makes a wonderful gift idea. Carnations, like roses, are among the most popular types of flowers among women. Add roses to the arrangement, along with other smaller flowers, and your arrangement will be most fragrant and enjoyable. If your mom has somewhat of a green thumb, consider sending her a pretty plant. A rose or violet plant will do just fine, as it will allow her to care for beautiful blossoms year-round. She will think of you ever time she tends to them.
What ever your choice I'm sure Mom will Love them. Happy Mothers Day!

Tips for the busy Mom
There is always something more to be done. The dinner has to be cooked. Rooms have to be swept. Children have to be helped with their homework. There is so much to do.
Housework need not take up all of one’s day. Here are some tips:
1. Do some multi-tasking. Throw a load of wash in the machine and do some dusting.
2. Ask your kids to help with cleaning the house. Hey hubby too!
3. Remember that you are not SuperwomanA lot of housewives make the mistake of imagining themselves as superwomen. The idea is to take on only as much as you can handle.
4. A routine is certainly a good idea. Working some breaks into the schedule is recommended. Dividing the day’s work into bite-sized chores also makes a lot of sense.
5. Reduce your errands Most of the major retailers allow us to shop online for our daily necessities. Phoning for home delivery would be a good idea.
6. Don’t leave chores for later Sometimes, there is the temptation to leave a chore pending. However, this may end up eating into our free time. For example, it is always easy to clean the table just after a meal.
7. Avoid unnecessary chores. Much of the day can be spent ironing out creases on clothes that we won't wear for months. It makes much more sense to iron only the clothes that we will be wearing the next day.
8. Hire a housekeeper when there is too much work. Yeh!
9. Keep some me-time . Setting aside some leisure time is a must.

I don't receive that many email survey invites from Focusline . I just joined about a month ago. I haven't qualified for a paid study yet. ( typically pay between $25 to $45 )

Joined Zoompanel about 1 month ago and already have 790 points from taking surveys. You need at least 1000 points to redeem for merchandise. Even if you don't qualify for a survey , you are awarded 5 points. To join: Zoompanel
Been a member with Epoll for over a year. Took me a while to accumulate 3500 points . That is the minimum amount for redeeming . I ended up with a $5 McDonalds's Gift Card. My 4 year old niece liked that! To Join: Epoll

Survey Spot
Some surveys offer payment, sometimes a sweepstakes or other prize is offered. Email survey invites detail rewards info. Some surveys are short maybe 5- 10 minutes but there are some that can be 20 - 30 minutes. Your email survey invites usually state about how long the survey will take. To join : Survey Spot
For those of you who enjoy shopping (Like me!) Here are two of my favorite sites. The first is Mr Rebates. Shop at your favorite stores and receive cash back. The cash back percent varies with each store. After you have accumulated $25 in your account you can request a payment by check or paypal. There are also Weekly Coupon Deals , so in addition to saving so much off of an order , you will also receive a percentage in cash back. Its free to join and just for joining you will receive $2.50 in your account. To join: Mr Rebates The second is My Points. I have been a member for a few years and have received many Gift Cards. Like Mr Rebates , you just shop at your favorite stores and depending on the store you will receive so many points per dollar spent or a set number of points for an order. You can also earn points by signing up for newsletters , joining book clubs , survey sites (some require credit card while others don't). After registering you will receive bonus emails. They will have special deals that you can take advantage of and earn points or just read the email and receive 5 points. What I like about My Points is they are fast in posting your available points to your account and once you have redeemed for a gift card you don't wait long for it to arrive. I have received mine within 2 weeks of redeeming. My Points

Welcome To The Wahm Daily
Here you will find my advice for Wahms on how to make extra money from home. Besides working part time outside of my home and being a rep for a few direct sales companies. I also belong to a few free survey sites and Shopping Rewards Programs. In the past 2 years I have received cash , gift cards and free merchandise. Most surveys are easy, some can be time consuming but the extra cash is worth it! The first free to join survey site I'd like to tell you about is
My Survey. Every survey you qualify for and complete you receive a certain number of points. After reaching 1000 points you can redeem for $10 in cash or continue taking surveys and getting points to redeem for merchandise or gift cards. I receive about 4 surveys a week and find that my points add up fast. I have also received merchandise like shampoo, cat litter, laundry detergent that I had to use and then complete a survey. I received points and the merchandise was mine to keep!
